Location: If you use our mobile application we will track your geo-location information so that you are able to view the drivers in your area that are close to your location, set your pick up location, and our drivers are able to find the location in which you wish to be picked up from. This information can be collected through the permission you allow on your platform.IP addresses can also be used to collect such information.
Teke Taxi allows you to contact us using email or telephone. In this case the information provided by you is stored for further processing of questions, opinions and feedback. This information is not passed on to third parties.
We collect the details that add up to the bill to pay which include time taken, distance travelled, amount charged, type of vehicle used and for promotional purposes we will need this information to allow someone else to use your promo code at redemption. Other information that we may collect include call and sms data especially in relation to communication with the driver, device information which include unique identifier for your computer, phone, tablet or any other relevant device.
There may be other sources of information we receive information from including your social media account (Facebook, google+) with which you can opt to use to log in to the app. In case of corporate clients, the employer will be required to give us the employee information to allow you if you are an employee to use our services.
The information you provide us is primarily to help us enhance your experience with using our services. The personal information gathered allows us send you your password upon registration if you are an employee, we can also send you a welcoming email and most importantly the receipt at the end of the ride will also be sent to your email. We also use the information for internal processes including anticipation of possible fraudulent activity, get to know which features mostly used, data analysis, research, are testing and to generally monitor the performance of the application. We also use the information to facilitate communication between you and the driver, to inform you if we are running any promotional activity, if you are booking for someone else we also need to share your ETA’s.
We also use the information from your mobile application to give you the correct application version depending on your device type, for getting information on app crashes and troubleshooting of the application. We will thus provide them with some of your information but limited to only the information they require to perform those services mentioned above. We will also disclose your information including personal information to law enforcement agencies so as to comply with the law, to defend Terms and conditions for online and mobile services, to protect the safety, rights, property or security of Teke Taxi, to detect, prevent or otherwise fraud, security or security issues, protect the public safety for any reason and prevent or stop ant issue we deem unethical or a violation of our Terms and Conditions.
